Meet the Moms behind dippitz™
Kristy McLean
Having dealt with weight and self-esteem challenges since childhood, Kristy has acquired quite a knowledge base when it comes to food, health, and fitness. While healthy eating and homemade family dinners were valued in her childhood home, busy lives and working parents often meant increasing amounts of more convenient processed, packaged, and fast food choices.
Always trying to eat right and exercise, Kristy was so easily influenced by the weight loss industry and food manufacturers whose fads and marketing schemes promising “low-fat” this and “low-carb” that, resulted in yo-yo diet patterns, and inconsistent habits. In her thirties, happily married with 2 young children, she is a busy mom who has now adopted a back to basics approach involving real, natural, whole foods, and the simple “more energy out than energy in” philosophy.
Kristy has won national accolades for sharing her weight loss transformation story, and she finds joy in learning about nutrition and how to eat healthy in todayʼs fast paced world. She shares her passion for food & fitness through public speaking and writing as an Online Fitness Coach and Group Fitness Instructor. She holds a B.S. in organizational Psychology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and her background in education, online learning, and marketing have her poised for outreach and getting quality information in the hands of the consumer. One of her main goals is to help the average consumer navigate the world of food retailing and make sense of the confusing messaging of food manufacturers. She intends to pass this goodness along to you in partnership with Meghan and Kimberly through Dippitz.
Meghan Hanna
Meghan was fortunate to grow up with a mom who was passionate about eating real, healthy foods. Meghanʼs time as a school counselor really opened her eyes to the growing trend of childhood obesity.
Once Meghan had children of her own, eating real, healthy food took on a whole new meaning. She has become passionate about finding foods that her children will eat while still maintaining the healthy benefits. Meghan and her husband, Jeff, have two girls and reside in Southern California. Meghan has a B.S in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Child Development from CSU Fresno.
She has a M.S in Counseling from University of LaVerne. Meghan is a certified Pure Barre instructor. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and exercising.
Kimberly Gomez
Kimberly was raised in Santa Cruz, California a small coastal town known for its abundance of organic produce and health conscious people. Her fascination with food and cooking came at an early age taking numerous cooking classes locally and starting a library of nutrition and food cook books. The importance of eating a balanced and nutritious diet became a primary focus for Kimberly while she attended college in Seattle training with the University of Washington Swim Team. As a young adult Kimberly explored food through travel to Europe and Japan. She also studied TriYoga with yogini Kaliji and became a certified TriYoga Instructor teaching yoga throughout the Central Coast and Silicon Valley. Yoga and Ayurvedic living opened up the door to foods healing properties. Kimberly began experimenting in the kitchen creating delicious and nutritious meals for her husband Jay. After giving birth to three beautiful children Kimberly recognized the need to offer healthy, organic and convenient foods to her kids on the go.
With the help of Meghan and Kristy, Dippitz was born and is now available to all families who share the desire to feed their kids healthy meals. Kimberly holds a B.A. from the University of Washington with an emphasis in Economic Geography and Communications.
